Abstract

Le processus d’évaluation des dépenses d’investissement a jusqu’à présent été présenté dans le cadre d’une analyse coûts-avantages, dans laquelle tous les avantages et les coûts sont exprimés en valeurs monétaires. les qualifications en termes monétaires sont difficiles, voire impossibles.Les exemples courants de tels projets sont la fourniture de services de soins de santé, l'investissement dans la sécurité publique et l'administration de la justice. ou programme, mais une analyse coût-efficacité (CEA) peut être effectuée. Une telle analyse mesure les quantités d'avantages générés en termes de nombre d'unités des articles produits, mais aucune tentative n'est faite pour les convertir en valeurs monétaires. Ce chapitre décrit une méthodologie pour effectuer une analyse coût-efficacité et en discute l'utilité et les limites. . D'autres extensions de la rentabilité sont transformées en sujets d'analyse de l'utilité des coûts et des limitations de la rentabilité.
