India’s Rising Technology Economy: Sources and Consequences

Author

Abstract

This book chronicles India's rise as a global leader in high technology during the previous three decades, as well as the influence it has had, or has failed to have, on the broader economy and politics. The initiative, which is based on a study of start-up firms, ties India's tech industry's growth to its distinct culture, democratic structure, and culture, and demonstrates how the same elements have hindered the country's efforts to widen its economy and make it more accessible and egalitarian. This book will appeal to economists, political scientists, academics specializing in Indian studies, investors, policymakers, journalists, and general readers interested in business.
