Abstract

Cet article contribue ainsi aux méthodes de recherche visant à améliorer la qualité des recherches du chercheur en immersion en présentant une forme de journal, appelé journal sibyllique. Le journal de bord est un outil au service de la recherche lors de phase d'observation. En revanche, l'utilisation du journal de bord souffre d'une vision souvent simpliste et reste souvent un « document accessoire » (Mucchielli, 2009). Nous pensons que le journal de bord doit trouver une place plus importante dans le processus de construction théorique. Sur la base de l'approche par le sensemaking (Weick, 1995), nous théorisons l'activité du chercheur en immersion et montrons l'importance de tenir compte du journal de bord comme d'un artefact ayant une importance dans le processus de construction de sens. Fondée sur une recherche actuelle, nous formulons une proposition de journal de bord qui ajoute une dimension prédictive aux journaux existants. Après avoir décrit l'utilisation de ce journal, nous discutons les implications de son utilisation pour le chercheur en management.
