Abstract

Alors que la littérature en management des émotions est foisonnante, la bureaucratie est toujours fondée sur le principe de plein contrôle des émotions, voire leur négation. Paradoxe sur le plan théorique, mais aussi empirique. Une recherche menée dans quatre caisses d'allocations familiales (CAF) a conduit à un résultat inattendu : les cadres décrivaient des excès d'émotions négatives pendant plusieurs années. L'exploration des travaux sur le rôle des émotions dans les organisations, enrichie par le cas des CAF, conduit à mettre en perspective le versant émotionnel du cercle vicieux bureaucratique ainsi que la participation non intentionnelle des cadres de direction aux phénomènes d'amplification du cercle vicieux émotionnel. Quelle solution pour la bureaucratie ? Un changement de type II ?
