Análisis de trayectorias de los hogares beneficiarios del programa Oportunidades

Abstract

Cuando los hogares beneficiarios del programa Oportunidades son reencuestados puede ocurrir que: (i) mantengan su elegibilidad, (ii) pasen a un esquema con una menor transferencia monetaria o (iii) dejen de ser elegibles. Se utilizan registros administrativos de dicho programa para presentar evidencia con respecto a qué factores determinan que un hogar pase de un estado de elegibilidad a otro. Hogares muy pobres o que están en localidades muy marginadas tienen baja movilidad entre estados de elegibilidad. La educación del jefe y el número de niños en el hogar tienen el mayor peso en determinar elegibilidad en el corto plazo.
