An Analysis Of The Off-Farm Work Decision Of Farm Opera Tors And Their Spouses

Abstract

Off-farm work by farm operators and their spouses continues to be an important and stabilizing source of income. This paper models the joint off-farm work decision of farm operators and their spouses using a bivariate probit analysis. Implications for rural economic development policy are discussed.
