Digitalisierung in Österreich: Die Rolle der künstlichen Intelligenz am Arbeitsplatz

Abstract

Österreich liegt im aktuellen Monitoring ausgewählter Indikatoren zur digitalen Transformation weiter im Mittelfeld der EU 27. Insbesondere in der Dimension Gesellschaft besteht nach wie vor Aufholbedarf, auch gegenüber dem EU-Durchschnitt. Dieser Rückstand ist vor allem auf die geringere Nutzung von ultraschnellem Breitbandinternet zurückzuführen. Nichtsdestotrotz erhöhte sich in Österreich der Anteil der Personen, die in den drei Monaten vor der Befragung künstliche Intelligenz (KI) genutzt hatten, innerhalb eines Jahres merklich. Auch die KI-Nutzung zu beruflichen Zwecken hat zugenommen, vor allem unter Höherqualifizierten, die KI auch öfter als nützlich für den eigenen Beruf beurteilen. Geringqualifizierte nutzen dagegen seltener KI-Werkzeuge. Bisher befürchten nur sehr wenige der befragten Erwerbstätigen, durch KI ersetzt zu werden. Diese Einschätzung könnte sich aufgrund der rasant fortschreitenden technologischen Entwicklung als trügerisch erweisen.
