Die Wirkung des Führungsverhaltens des Top-Managements auf die unternehmerische Orientierung — ein 5-Länder-Vergleich

Abstract

Zusammenfassung In der Literatur ist die Erfolgswirkung einer unternehmerischen Orientierung, gekennzeichnet durch Innovativität, Risikobereitschaft und Proaktivität, vielfältig und für mehrere Kulturen empirisch validiert. Obgleich diese Studien durchweg positive Erfolgsbeziehungen aufzeigen, fällt auf, dass über Möglichkeiten zur Förderung unternehmerischer Orientierung, insbesondere in unterschiedlichen kulturellen Kontexten, noch kein Konsens entwickelt wurde. Der vorliegende Beitrag adressiert diesen Mangel und überprüft Wirkungen facilitativen Führungsverhaltens auf die unternehmerische Orientierung auf der G rundlage einer S tichprobe mit 668 U nternehmen aus fünf N ationen (Deutschland, Österreich, S chweiz, T hailand und USA ). R egressionsanalysen zeigen, dass sowohl partizipative als auch konsiderate Führungsstile förderlich für die unternehmerische Orientierung sind. Diese Wirkung ist allerdings moderiert durch die nationale Kultur: In L ändern mit einem hohen G rad an Individualismus und Unsicherheitsvermeidung wirkt ein partizipativer Führungsstil stärker, während in Ländern, die durch eine hohe Machtdistanz gekennzeichnet sind, ein konsiderater Führungsstil stärker auf die unternehmerische Orientierung wirkt.
