E-mail: dewitj@bc.eduИнтернационализация как концепция и стратегическая программа - это относительно новое, но обширное и многообразное явление, обусловленное динамичной комбинацией политических, экономических, социокультурных и академических факторов и затрагивающее интересы многих сторон. В настоящей статье рассматриваются следующие вопросы. Насколько продолжительна история интернационализации? Каковы ключевые факторы международного высшего образования, которые влияют на это явление и подвергаются его влиянию? Как мы концептуально понимаем его эволюцию? Какие государственные политики разработаны для повышения международной конкурентоспособности высшего образования? Какое влияние оказывает интернационализация на институциональные стратегии образовательных учреждений? В заключение приводятся выводы и рекомендации для российской системы высшего образования.
