Abstract

Against the background of global industrial chain restructuring and accelerated digital transformation, enhancing industrial chain resilience has become a key issue for realizing high-quality economic development. This paper empirically analyzes the impact mechanism of digital transformation on industry chain toughness based on panel data from 31 provinces in China from 2014 to 2023. It is found that, first, digital transformation can significantly enhance industry chain resilience. Second, financial support plays an important mediating role in the relationship. Finally, there is obvious regional heterogeneity in the promotion effect of digital transformation on industry chain resilience, which is significant in the eastern region, while the effect is not significant in the central and western regions.
