Abstract

We propose the firm-level economic policy uncertainty (FEPU) index to measure the economic policy uncertainty faced by individual firms. Then, we consider the “Broadband China Pilot Policy” as a quasi-experiment and examine the effect of broadband internet infrastructure on FEPU. We find that broadband internet infrastructure exerts negative impacts on FEPU.
