A deep analysis of the economics and finance research on cryptocurrencies

Abstract

Growth in academic research on cryptocurrencies has paralleled crypto-markets’ development. Still unknown are the research areas receiving the greatest attention, remaining relatively unexplored, and changing significantly. This article uses semantic topic analysis of top-journal publications to address these questions.
