Análisis descriptivo de los resultados de los Ecaes en economía (2004- 2006)

Abstract

En este documento se examinó los resultados obtenidos en el ECAES de Economía para el período2004-2006, analizando algunas medidas descriptivas a nivel estudiantil, institucional y geográfi -co; junto con una estimación de los factores que incidieron en el puntaje total promedio de lasinstituciones que se presentaron a los exámenes. Una crítica al método utilizado de califi cación dela prueba es que no permite realizar comparaciones de resultados para diferentes momentos detiempo, debido a que se normalizan los resultados anualmente. Por medio de un Análisis de Covarianzas(ANCOVA), se encontró que el número de estudiantes evaluados, si la jornada es diurna ysi la institución está acreditada tienen efectos positivos sobre el puntaje por institución.
