Auswirkungen der Umstellung auf die neue Wirtschaftszweigklassifikation für die Regionalauswertung des ifo Konjunkturtests

Abstract

In der amtlichen Statistik Deutschlands kam es im Berichtszeitraum 2008/2009 zur Anwendung einer neuen Wirtschaftszweigklassifikation. Um die Vergleichbarkeit zu gewährleisten, mussten die Ergebnisse des ifo Konjunkturtests ebenfalls angepasst werden. Für Sachsen und Ostdeutschland zeigen sich keine Veränderungen in den Bereichen Bauhauptgewerbe, Groß- und Einzelhandel. Im Verarbeitenden Gewerbe hingegen sind sowohl Niveaueffekte als auch ein verändertes Verlaufsbild zu konstatieren. Eine empirische Analyse ergibt, dass die Umstellung die Vorlaufeigenschaften des ifo Geschäftsklimas verbessert und den Zusammenhang mit Daten der amtlichen Statistik erhöht.
