Bildung und Qualifikation als Grundlage der technologischen Leistungsfähigkeit Deutschlands 2021: Fortschreibung der Indikatoren

Abstract

Die vorliegende Studie stellt grundlegende Informationen zur Qualifikationsstruktur der Erwerbstätigen in Deutschland im internationalen Vergleich und zur Ausbildung des Fach- und Führungskräftenachwuchses zur Verfügung. Dafür werden auf Basis zahlreicher Indikatoren, die zumeist als Zeitreihen berichtet werden, wesentliche Entwicklungen beim formalen und beruflichen Bildungsstand der Erwerbstätigen sowie in der beruflichen Ausbildung und der hochschulischen Qualifizierung beschrieben. Darüber hinaus wird die Teilnahme an Weiterbildung in den Blick genommen. Da technisch-naturwissenschaftliche Kompetenzen für die Innovationsfähigkeit und die technologische Leistungsfähigkeit von besonderer Bedeutung sind, werden diese sowohl auf der Angebots- als auch auf der Nachfrageseite jeweils detailliert betrachtet, auch im Hinblick auf den Ersatzbedarf. Besonderes Augenmerk liegt im Hochschulbereich auf der Studienbeteiligung internationaler Studierender. In einem eigenen Abschnitt wird zudem die erfolgreiche Beteiligung von Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern aus Deutschland an der Forschungsförderung der EU dargestellt.
