Abstract

Cet article étudie les articulations et les interactions à l'œuvre entre les dimensions écologique, environnementale et sociétale des exploitations arboricoles en lien avec le développement des circuits courts. La méthodologie s'appuie sur le cadre théorique associé aux circuits courts et à chaque pilier de la durabilité. Nous mobilisons une base de données originale issue de 176 enquêtes réalisées auprès d'exploitants de pêches et d'abricots des grandes régions productrices. Les producteurs ont été sélectionnés sur la base d'une stratification permettant d'obtenir une vision représentative de leur activité. Nous différencions les exploitations qui vendent en circuit court des autres. Des modèles à équations simultanées s'appuyant sur des scores de performance durable sont estimés afin de prendre en compte et de mesurer la codétermination de ces différents scores. Les résultats démontrent notamment que la recherche d'une durabilité économique s'oppose aux logiques de durabilité écologique et sociétale, ces dernières apparaissant indépendantes l'une de l'autre.
