Cambio tecnol�gico sesgado: Desigualdad, crecimiento econ�mico y pol�tica fiscal

Abstract

Durante las �ltimas d�cadas el incremento en la desigualdad experimentado por algunas econom�as desarrolladas ha estado relacionado con la adopci�n de tecnolog�as que utilizan intensivamente la mano de obra calificada. En este documento se plantea un modelo te�rico en el que se recoge parte de la evidencia emp�rica sobre los efectos del cambio tecnol�gico sesgado sobre el crecimiento y la desigualdad. De igual forma, se analiza la efectividad de la pol�tica p�blica para suavizar los efectos negativos del cambio tecnol�gico sobre la brecha salarial y aprovechar sus bondades, en t�rminos de crecimiento. Los resultados del modelo evidencian que ante un choque tecnol�gico, una pol�tica fiscal eficiente permite alcanzar un equilibrio de largo plazo con mayor expansi�n del PIB y menor brecha salarial que en la situaci�n inicial.
