Determinants of remuneration in selected European Union states

Abstract

The study of factors affecting the level of remuneration takes place at many levels: macroeconomic, microeconomic as well as referring to management processes. Knowledge of these factors and the strength and direction of their influence helps not only in formulating strategies related to labor market policy, but also helps management in enterprises. Previous research has clearly indicated that the impact of various factors on the level of remuneration is very diverse geographically. The aim of the presented analysis is to assess the impact of selected factors on the level of remuneration in various countries of the European Union, indicating the similarities and differences between them.
