Abstract

A tanulmány Kornai János puha költségvetési korlát szindrómájának elméletét alkalmazva mutatja be a hivatásos labdarúgás működését, különös figyelemmel a 2010-2019 közötti időszak magyar sajátosságaira. Az elérhető pénzügyi, egyéb üzleti és sportszakmai adatok feldolgozásával látható eredmények szerint ezen időszakban a magyar klubok a közvetlen régiós versenytársakhoz viszonyítva - lényegesen nagyobb erőforrás-felhasználás mellett - sportszakmai szempontból kevésbé voltak sikeresek. Működésük fontos jellemzője az úgynevezett "egyéb bevételek" nagyságának magas alakulása, ami azért lehet káros, mert nem kötődik sem a sportszakmai eredményességhez, sem a fogyasztó- és az ügyfélkapcsolatokhoz, így az ezektől függő hatékonysági tényezőknek (fogyasztó- és ügyfél orientált ság, innovációs kényszer) való megfelelés alól is mentesülnek a klubok. Vélhetően kisebb, de teljesítményen alapuló és transzparens finanszírozással jobban fejlődhetne a magyar labdarúgás.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: H27, Z23, Z28.
