Hallgatói preferencia-sorrendek készítése az egyetemi jelentkezések alapján
[Preparing student preference rankings based on applications for university]

Abstract

Intézményi rangsorokat sokféleképpen alkotnak. Egyszerre több szempont alapján értékelik a felsőoktatási intézményeket - például a minősített oktatók száma vagy az egy oktatóra jutó hallgatók száma alapján. Ez a rangsorolás számos kérdést felvet: egyrészt az egyes szempontok figyelembevétele és relevanciája, másrészt a rangsorolási eljárások adekvát volta és interpretációja tekintetében. Magát az eredményeket torzíthatja a vizsgálat készítőjének piaci érdeke, a vizsgált intézmények érdekei, valamint az irányításukért felelős kormányzati politika várható reakciója, nem beszélve a rendelkezésre álló adatok minőségéről, mennyiségéről és torzítottságának fokáról. Végül, de nem utolsósorban: számos esetben a rangsorokat, illetve a készítésükhöz alkalmazott szempontokat kormányzati döntésekhez is felhasználják. Ezért Magyarországon is megkezdődött az intézmények minősítési szempontok szerinti "feljavítása", azaz a mérés visszahat magára a mérés tárgyára is, ami módszertani fordulatot sürget a felsőoktatási rangsorok készítésében. Tanulmányunkban egy olyan megközelítést próbálunk megalapozni, amelynek segítségével elkerülhetők az említett veszélyek, illetve új elemekkel gazdagítható a rangsorkészítés módszertana.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: C44, I23.
