Inversión extranjera directa, factores del país receptor y crecimiento económico

Abstract

Este artículo analiza cómo los niveles de desarrollo económico, capital humano, desarrollo financiero y las cualidades de los entornos económicos y políticos en los países receptores afectan simultáneamente el impacto de las entradas agregadas de Inversión Extranjera Directa (IED) en el crecimiento económico. Se emplean múltiples términos de interacción entre la entrada de IED y cada uno de los factores del país receptor mencionados anteriormente. El estimador System GMM se aplica a un panel de 111 países entre 1981 y 2005. Los resultados muestran que el nivel de desarrollo económico, el capital humano y la calidad del entorno político afectan significativamente la relación entre las entradas de IED y el crecimiento.
