Abstract

Recently, with the optimization of the global energy structure, the application of the hydrogen energy as energy storage method and transportation fuel has received widespread attention. In this paper, a new multi-energy cloud energy storage (MECES) considering long-short-term energy storage characteristics is designed, which consists of MECES users, MECES operator and multi-energy storage (MES) facility. The MECES users studied in this paper refer to a multi-microgrid system with hydrogen refueling station (MMS-HRS). The energy storage behaviors are analyzed from the perspectives of the MMS-HRS and MES facility, and the information exchange and energy storage behavior control are carried out by the MECES operator. On this basis, a multi-agent dual-layer optimization model with the agents of the MMS-HRS, MECES operator, and MES facility is established. In the upper layer, the model of the MMS-HRS and MECES operator agents is established to optimize the energy storage behavior demand of the MMS-HRS. In the lower layer, the model of the MES facility and MECES operator agents is established to optimize the energy storage capacity of the MES facility. The energy storage demand and capacity optimized by the upper and lower layer models respectively are interacted through the MECES operator. The comparative analysis of the simulation results in different energy storage scenarios verifies that the MECES service can significantly optimize the energy storage capacity and behavior, reduce the economic cost, and improve the operation characteristics of the system simultaneously. The simulation results show that the total annual cost of the MMS-HRS and MES facility can be reduced by 6.81 % and 47.34 % respectively, and the annual revenue of the MECES operator can be promoted by 49.37 % when applying the MECES service and jointly configuring the MES facility.
