Digital transformation, management characteristics and market competitiveness

Abstract

This paper examines the impact of digital transformation on enhancing business market competitiveness through leadership dynamics from 2011 to 2023. Research indicates that technological advancement fosters competitive advantages, with executive demographics being crucial. Successful transitions are significantly associated with younger, highly educated executives with technical skills, facilitating agile decision-making in dynamic marketplaces. Although management age, educational qualifications, and specialized skills are essential success elements, gender diversity exhibits no significant effect on performance outcomes. The study emphasizes the importance of synchronizing digital adoption with strategic talent development, indicating that modernizing human capital surpasses conventional diversity criteria in maintaining market relevance.
