Wie nachhaltig ist der Kraftfuttereinsatz in der Milchviehhaltung?

Abstract

Die Kosten der Grundfutteraufbereitung und die Kraftfutterpreise sind wichtige Bestimmungsfaktoren für den Futtereinsatz in der Milchviehhaltung. Modellberechnungen für regionaltypische Milchviehsysteme der Schweizer Landwirtschaft zeigen, dass bei Zollsenkungen auf Kraftfuttermitteln und damit günstigeren Preisen deutlich höhere Kraftfuttergaben wirtschaftlich sind. Nachhaltigkeitsanalysen, welche neben den ökonomischen gleichzeitig die sozialen und ökologischen Auswirkungen mit einbeziehen, ergeben für moderate Preissenkungen (bis zu 65 Franken je Dezitonne Milchleistungsfutter) eine Verbesserung der Nachhaltigkeit in der Milchviehhaltung. Darüber hinausgehende Preissenkungen führen jedoch infolge des abnehmenden Nettoselbstversorgungsgrads an Nahrungsmitteln und der zunehmenden Umweltbelastungen durch den Kraftfutteranbau zu einer deutlichen Verschlechterung der Nachhaltigkeit.
