Einfluss der Sozialisierung im Schulalter auf das Unternehmertum

Abstract

Welchen Einfluss hat Schulbildung auf die spätere Berufswahl, insbesondere auf die Entscheidung, sich selbstständig zu machen? Während Schüler, welche in der BRD geboren wurden, ihre Erziehung in einer freien Marktwirtschaft erhielten, wuchsen Schüler aus der DDR während ihrer gesamten oder während eines Teils ihrer Schulzeit in einem sozialistisch geprägten System auf. Das Unternehmertum hatte in beiden Wirtschaftssystemen einen unterschiedlichen Stellenwert. Der Aufsatz zeigt, dass Studierende im wiedervereinigten Deutschland, welche in der DDR geboren wurden, signifikant geringere unternehmerische Absichten verfolgen als ihre Kommilitonen, die in der BRD aufwuchsen. Gleichzeitig haben Studierende aus Ostdeutschland, welche ihre Schulzeit erst nach der Wiedervereinigung abschlossen und somit zumindest einen Teil ihrer Bildung in einer freien Marktwirtschaft erhielten, eher die Absicht, sich selbstständig zu machen als Studierende, welche ihre gesamte Schulbildung in der DDR erhielten.
