Wettbewerb um Bestandskunden in der PKV

Abstract

Die Vorschläge der Monopolkommission zur Ausweitung des Wettbewerbs um Bestandskunden in der Privaten Krankenversicherung (PKV) sowie die daran geäußerte Kritik werden vorgestellt und einer Analyse unterzogen. Es wird deutlich, dass die Übertragbarkeit einer risikogerechten Alterungsr ückstellung bei einem Anbieterwechsel Bestandkundenwettbewerb in der PKV ermöglichen würde. Die Befürchtung, dies stelle die nichtwechselnden Bestandskunden schlechter als die vom Wechselrecht Gebrauch machenden erweist sich als wenig begründet.
