Ein (hypothetischer) Shale-Gas-Boom als Retter der deutschen Gaskraftwerke?

Abstract

Kurzfassung: Erdgaskraftwerke sind aktuell in Deutschland aufgrund der mangelnden Wirtschaftlichkeit in ihrer Existenz bedroht, während eine deutliche Zunahme der Schiefergasförderung (Shale Gas) in den USA einen Boom bei der Erdgasverstromung ausgelöst hat. Modellrechnungen zeigen, dass bei einem Einstieg Deutschlands in die Schiefergasförderung keine derartigen Effekte zu erreichen wären.
