Abstract

This paper provides background information on the questionnaires and basic descriptive statistics for a representative survey of the German population, conducted on our behalf by Dynata in February–March 2025. The survey covers topics related to inflation perceptions and expectations, knowledge about monetary and financial issues, and includes an experiment assessing whether supply constraint scenarios affect laypersons’ inflation expectations. A broad set of socio-demographic and economic indicators was also collected.
