El ALCA y la OMC: Especulaciones en torno a su interacción

Abstract

Uno de los temas más interesantes del debate económico internacional es la interrelación entre el multilateralismo y los procesos de regionalización alrededor del mundo. La proliferación de esquemas de integración económica, en un momento en que la Organización Mundial de Comercio (OMC) ha adquirido un perfil tan alto, ha hecho que se vuelque la atención en torno a la interacción que habrá entre los procesos regionales de integración comercial y el multilateralismo. La literatura reciente ha estado analizando el proceso desde distintos ángulos, en particular desde las perspectivas económica, legal, y de economía política. Al respecto, un rico acervo de opiniones alimenta el debate dentro de su respectivo compartimento intelectual.
