Abstract

"Der Arbeitsort Berlin gewinnt für Pendler weiter an Attraktivität. Vor allem die Pendlerverflechtungen zwischen Berlin und Brandenburg haben sich 2009 erneut intensiviert. Eine Rolle spielen dabei die hauptstädtischen Suburbanisierungsprozesse von Bevölkerung und Betrieben. Gleichzeitig trägt eine günstige Beschäftigungsentwicklung in Berlin zu steigenden Einpendlerzahlen aus Brandenburg bei; aber auch die überregionale Anziehungskraft Berlins hat zugenommen. Neben der länderübergreifenden Pendlersituation wird auch diejenige der Brandenburger Kreise und Mittelzentren untersucht. Die innerbrandenburgischen Arbeitspendler werden nach spezifischen Merkmalen wie Geschlecht, Alter und Qualifikation untersucht und den Strukturmerkmalen der Pendler über die Landesgrenze gegenübergestellt. Ein weiterer Aspekt sind die überregionalen Pendlerverflechtungen Berlins und Brandenburgs. Abschließend wird das Pendleraufkommen des Berliner Raums mit dem anderer ausgewählter Großstädte verglichen." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
