Quelques défis du conseil coopératif pour le développement de systèmes agricoles durables et pistes de recherche

Abstract

Pour comprendre le genre de contribution que les coopératives agricoles peuvent fournir pour l'avènement de modèles productifs durables, nous commençons par expliciter leur projet d'« intensification écologique ». Nous analysons ensuite, sur une base bibliographique, certains de leurs points forts pour y arriver, mais aussi des défis qu'elles doivent relever : faire évoluer des logiques de travail consommatrices d'intrants ; et éviter les limites du conseil privé à visée lucrative. Enfin, après avoir argumenté que l'agriculture se réinvente sur le terrain, au travers des dialogues professionnels entre agriculteurs et avec leurs conseillers, nous proposons un cadre d'analyse utile pour cerner ce qui s'y joue effectivement – en termes de changements social, technique et identitaire – et pour réfléchir l'évolution des dispositifs de conseil actuellement amorcée.
