Abstract

Questo studio indaga le strutture di governance incorporate nei modelli di crescita macroeconomica, superando il dibattito binario tra crescita e decrescita per esaminare come diversi assetti istituzionali influenzino la produzione aggregata. Utilizzando il modello di Ramsey-Cass-Koopmans (RCK) come benchmark metodologico, la ricerca ne propone quattro varianti, ottenute modificando la funzione di produzione, le preferenze delle famiglie e i meccanismi di attualizzazione intertemporale. L’analisi dinamica, condotta attraverso sistemi non lineari di equazioni differenziali, rivela come l’inclusività sociale possa essere una determinante primaria della stabilità dell’equilibrio. Oltre ai punti di sella interni, i risultati identificano equilibri stabili d’angolo che generano traiettorie di sviluppo asimmetriche. Infine, in configurazioni simmetriche, l’economia transita verso regimi di crescita che si autoalimentano e che mettono in discussione l’ipotesi di convergenza. Lo studio dimostra che la crescita dipende dai sistemi di coordinamento e controllo sottostanti e non è neutrale dal punto di vista distributivo. I risultati dell’analisi teorica mettono in luce la necessità di elaborare una teoria pluralistica della crescita e di predisporre assetti istituzionali capaci di governare e stabilizzare traiettorie di sviluppo caratterizzate da squilibri strutturali. A tal fine è necessario promuovere una concezione dello sviluppo di lungo periodo più democratica e fondata su espliciti orientamenti etico-normativi.
