Crecimiento, Desigualdad Y Pobreza: Un Análisis De La Violencia En Colombia

Abstract

La presente investigación realiza una revisión conceptual y de la literatura más reciente sobre el tema que relaciona el crecimiento, la desigualdad, la pobreza y la violencia en Colombia. La revisión explora algunas de las características, conexiones y realidades con el tema propuesto que han sido documentadas y referenciadas en la literatura sobre la incidencia que estas variables pueden tener sobre la violencia y su dinámica. Con fundamento en las tendencias observadas y analizadas durante los últimos anos, se realiza un ejercicio con características geo-referenciales sobre los diferentes efectos que la pobreza, la localización geográfica de los grupos al margen de la ley, la producción de algunos cultivos ilícitos, pueden generar en los altos niveles de violencia que se experimentan en algunas regiones del país. Se presenta adicionalmente una aproximación empírica sobre la incidencia que tienen los factores productivos, la violencia, la desigualdad y la pobreza sobre el crecimiento económico del país. Se encontró evidencia en favor de la hipótesis según la cual, las características estructurales de cada región, sus niveles socioeconómicos, la pobreza, la desigualdad y la falta de presencia estatal han afectado la dinámica del crecimiento, por lo tanto se demuestra que los factores productivos y la violencia tienen efectos sobre el crecimiento económico.
