Auswirkungen der EU-Osterweiterung auf die österreichische Sachgüterproduktion. Ostöffnungseffekte beleben österreichische Industrie

Abstract

Die Industrie profitierte in Österreich besonders von der Wende in den östlichen Nachbarländern: Die Ausweitung der Exporte in die benachbarten MOEL ließ den Nettoproduktionswert um etwa 14 Mrd. S steigen. Noch größer werden die Effekte der EU-Osterweiterung sein, sofern sich die Außenhandelsstruktur der MOEL dem EU-Durchschnitt annähert. Wenn diese Anpassung in Polen, Tschechien, Slowenien und Ungarn bis zum Jahr 2010 gelingt, könnte sich die Beschäftigung der österreichischen Industrie um bis zu 50.000 ausweiten.
