Informationserkennung und -kauf: Eine experimentelle Untersuchung

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Erkennen von informationsbasierten Handlungen und die Entscheidung, ob zusätzliche kostenpflichtige Informationen erworben werden sollten, sind die Grundlage für die meisten Informationsverarbeitungsprozesse. In diesem Experiment zeigt sich, dass die Versuchsteilnehmer zum Erkennen der informationsbasierten Handlungen eingeschränkt in der Lage sind, was vor allem an heterogenem Kaufverhalten der Experimentteilnehmer liegt. Das Kaufverhalten kann durch ein Fehlermodell besser als durch die rationale Benchmark erklärt werden. Die zusätzlichen Informationskäufe wirken sich nicht wohlfahrtserhöhend aus.
