Abstract

[fre] Le cas de la culture du maïs-grain de 1945 à 1985 permet d'illustrer l'hypothèse selon laquelle il n'existe pas une voie unique d'industrialisation de l'agriculture, mais des itinéraires concrets qu'il faut repérer. La notion de système technique est utilisée pour éclairer la dimension technique du processus d'industrialisation de la culture du maïs-grain : celui-ci se présente comme la mise en œuvre d'un système technique particulier. A un second niveau, le processus d'industrialisation coïncide avec un processus d'accumulation. L'articulation entre système technique et mode d'accumulation engendre la dynamique et les limites du processus d'industrialisation de cette culture. [eng] The case of corn farming from 1945 to 1985 illustrates the theory according to which there is no unique way of industrializing agriculture but concrete routes that are to be found out. The notion of technical system is used to make clear the technical dimension of the industrialization process of corn farming : this one appears as the implementation of a particular technical system. At a second level, the industrialization process coincides with an accumulation process. The link between the technical system and the accumulation process generates the dynamics and the limits of the industrialization of corn farming.
