Abstract

Die Jugendlichen, die einer unterstûtzten Beschàftigung nachgingen, verdienen spâter dagegen weniger als die anderen Arbeitnehmer. Les emplois aidés ou les contrats d'apprentissage constituent la première expérience professionnelle pour de nombreux jeunes. Si ces formules d'insertion apportent un contact avec le monde de l'entreprise, les rémunérations qui y sont associées sont peu élevées, généralement inférieures au SMIC. Les parcours professionnels ultérieurs diffèrent sensiblement selon que l'on ait débuté par un emploi aidé (travaux d'utilité collective, contrats d'adaptation, etc.) ou par un contrat d'apprentissage. Les jeunes passés par l'apprentissage obtiennent en effet par la suite une rémunération équivalente à celle des jeunes qui ne nont connu aucun de ces dispositifs, toutes choses égales par ailleurs. Pour les jeunes ayant transité par un emploi aidé, en revanche, un écart négatif de salaire persiste par rapport aux autres salariés. Although these integration methods bring young people into contact with the business world, they pay low wages generally below the minimum wage. Subsequent career paths differ markedly depending on whether an individual has started out in a government-subsidised job (community job, partially reimbursed on-the-job training, etc.) or an apprenticeship. The young people who start out in an apprenticeship subsequently earn a wage equivalent to the young people who have not entered into such a contract, other things being equal. On the other hand, a negative wage gap compared with other employees persists for young people who start out in a government-subsidised job.
