Abstract

The present article is to assess the effectiveness of investment in the shares of the Polish IT sector with the help of rates of return, and risk-sensitive profitability measures based on the Capital Asset Pricing Model - CAMP. The analysis consisted in a statistical verification of the assets management in relation to the results of the selected global sector stock market indexes. The results of the study show that regardless of the changing market conditions, the effectiveness of investing in the shares of the Polish IT sector in the analyzed period differed from the market portfolio results determining global markets of modern technologies.
