Abstract

Három rövid cikkből álló sorozatban betekintést szeretnénk nyújtani az Európai Unió 7. keretprogramjának COEURE (Cooperation for European Research in Economics) projektjébe, amelynek célja az európai közgazdaság-tudomány fejlődésének és alkalmazásának előmozdítása, az egyetemi oktatók, kutatók és hallgatók közötti párbeszéd élénkítése, az oktatási intézmények és kutatóintézetek együttműködésének ösztönzése, valamint a közgazdasági kutatás és az európai gazdaságpolitika különböző igényei közötti összhang megteremtése. Az EU gazdaságpolitikájának hatékonysága elmarad a méretétől és a fejlettségétől várható szervezettségi szinttől. E viszonylagos "szervezetlenség" és "lemaradás" főbb okai a nyelvi határokban, az oktatás tradicionális különbözőségeiben, valamint a kutatási tevékenység elaprózottságában is keresendők. Cikkünkben a gazdaság emberi tényezőire koncentrálunk: először az oktatás és az emberi tőke fejlődését elemezzük, majd az oktatással esetlegesen elmélyülő egyenlőtlenségeket és ezek jólétre gyakorolt hatását vizsgáljuk. Harmadszor, az európai munkaerőpiac egyik legfontosabb sajátosságát, a piac dualitását mutatjuk be, végül Európa egy demográfiai jellemzőjét, a társadalom elöregedését és az arra esetleges megoldást jelentő migráció általános nehézségeit vesszük górcső alá. Az írás végén összefoglaljuk a taglalt problémák lehetséges közvetlen gazdaságpolitikai vonatkozásait is. Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: D63, I2, I3, J1, J2, J61.
