Abstract

The financial crises that hit Mexico since the eighties of the last century to the present had have many impacts in the Mexican´s macroeconomic indicators. Several factors have come together in recent years to the emergence of the different crises experienced by the country, among them are the weakening economy, irrational expectations of economic agents and contagion that experience Mexico by being immersed in a globalized world. Financial crises have resulted, among others: lack of liquidity, increased unemployment rates, rising inflation and reduced growth rates. In this research we present an analysis of the cyclical behavior of macroeconomic indicators is done during economic and financial crises that have hit Mexico in between 1980-2014.
