Abstract

Hydrogen generated and liquefied by surplus renewable electricity from solar and wind serves as an ideal energy carrier, also enabling the development of zero-carbon cities. However, large-scale liquid hydrogen (LH2) delivery introduces new safety challenges, where automatic control of boil-off gas (BOG) release is essential to ensure secure transport. In smart cities, where infrastructure is highly digitized and data acquisition is well established, such control becomes feasible.
