Evolutionary game analysis of the driving mechanism for green technology innovation in enterprises: a new quality productive forces perspective

Abstract

As green transformation becomes a global development trend, enterprise green technological innovation is increasingly becoming a core driving force in promoting green economic development. The theory of new quality productivity emphasizes the key role of technological innovation in achieving a green and low-carbon transition. The efficiency and sustainability of such innovations depend largely on the interactions among enterprises, governments and markets. This study examines the strategic interactions among firms, governments and consumers in the green technological innovation process using a three-way evolutionary game model. This study examines the interrelationships among innovation subsidies, consumer preference for green products, and firms' R&D investment. The model analysis shows that both the government's supportive policies and the market demand's green preferences have a significant impact on firms' willingness to participate in green technology innovation. Based on these findings, this paper proposes policy recommendations to optimize innovation incentives in order to promote green technological progress and facilitate green low-carbon transition.
