Eine Kritik des FAZ-Ökonomenrankings 2013

Abstract

Im September 2013 veröffentlichte die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung ein neues Ökonomenranking. Dieses berücksichtigt neben der Forschungsleistung auch noch zwei weitere Aspekte: Medienpräsenz und Politikberatung. In diesem Artikel wurde das FAZ-Ranking einer kritischen Analyse unterworfen, die zeigte, dass das FAZ-Ranking viele Schwachpunkte hat. Neben dem Aggregationsproblem ist vor allem die unvollständige Erfassung der Zitierungen im Forschungsranking hervorzuheben. Auf Grundlage dieser Kritik wird hier eine alternative Aggregationsmethode für die Einzelrankings vorgeschlagen.
