Subsahara-Afrika als Zielregion außenwirtschaftlicher Aktivitäten von kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen

Abstract

Die Studie betrachtet die Wirtschaft der Staaten in Subsahara-Afrika, auf die nur 2 % des weltweiten Bruttoinlandsprodukts entfallen. Unter Nutzung statistischer Daten wird untersucht, ob deutsche Unternehmen Wirtschaftspartner in der Region fanden. Zwar haben mehrere Tausend KMU dahin Auslandsaktivitäten aufgebaut, das sind aber im weltweiten Vergleich und auch im Vergleich zu anderen europäischen Staaten vergleichsweise wenige. Rund 13.000 KMU exportieren Waren, aber lediglich 3.000 importieren Waren oder Rohstoffe aus der Region. Trotz der geringen Kaufkraft in vielen Staaten verfolgen deutsche KMU vorwiegend absatzbezogene Ziele in Afrika.
