Kombinierte Firmenpaneldaten – Datenangebot und Analysepotenziale

Abstract

Kombinierte Firmenpaneldaten führen Informationen über Betriebe bzw. Unternehmen aus verschieden Quellen und für mehrere Beobachtungszeiträume in einem Datensatz zusammen. Dieses Kapitel zeigt, dass die technischen und rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen in Deutschland es Wissenschaftlern ermöglichen, sich neben der Nutzung der standardmäßig in den Forschungsdatenzentren der statistischen Ämter bereitgestellten kombinierten AFiDPanel maßgeschneiderte Datensätze aus dem breiten Angebot der statistischen Ämter und unter Verwendung allgemein zugänglicher Firmendaten aus externen Quellen (wozu auch Daten von kommerziellen Datenanbietern gehören) für Auswertungen in den FDZ erstellen zu lassen. An zahlreichen Beispielen wird gezeigt, dass diese kombinierten Firmenpaneldaten ein hohes und gegenüber isolierten Daten aus nur einer Erhebung deutlich höheres Analysepotenzial aufweisen.
