Algunos Comentarios Sobre La Medición Del Capital Humano

Abstract

. En este trabajo se analizan y comparan desde una perspectiva teórica y empírica dos indicadores de capital humano que engloban en una única medida diferentes elementos de dicho capital, el propuesto por Portela (2001) y por Arrazola et al. (2000) y Arrazola y Hevia (2001). La principal conclusión del trabajo es que a la hora de elaborar un indicador de capital humano se debe tener en cuenta no sólo la simplicidad en el cálculo de la medida sino también la posible existencia de un marco teórico de referencia que permita interpretar y evaluar dicho indicador así como la vertiente del capital humano como generador de rentas.
