L'ambivalence de la RSE. L'illusion de la coordination par le contrat

Abstract

La conception dominante de la RSE – se substituer à la normalisation fordienne – repose sur l'idée que la coordination marchande fondée sur le contrat inter-individuel serait une modalité de coordination qui, non seulement s'oppose à la fois à la normalisation sociale et à la hiérarchie, mais surtout qui, au même titre que la hiérarchie, ne doit rien à la première. L'objet de cette communication est de montrer le caractère illusoire de cette seconde proposition. Il est de bien comprendre l'origine de cette illusion si tenace, qui tient au fait qu'elle parait être la conséquence logique de l'évidence empirique de la première. Pour ce faire, je procède à une appropriation critique des apports de Commons, de l'économie des conventions (théorie de la justification) et de MacIntyre. J'en conclus que la place faite à la liberté, et donc au marchandage, dans les modalités de coordination-régulation est toujours le résultat d'une action collective concertée, en relevant ainsi de la normalisation, et qu'en conséquence "la RSE empiriquement observée" est ambivalente.
