Abstract

In order to prevent occupational diseases stemming from stress and a more and more demanding business environment, it is key to mingle medial and management sciences, in particular through socioeconomic approach to management. This paper shows that education to the management of quality of life at work is beneficial both to company sustainable development and to the health of workers. The paper shows that psychosocial risks result in a variety of medical diseases and negatively impact well-being and living conditions, even more than alcoholism and tobacco addiction. Therefore, it is crucial that schools of management not only pay lip service to the issues related to quality of management and take forceful and deliberate action to really foster research and education to improve lives and prevent medical diseases stemming from toxic management practices.
