Evidências do impacto da restrição de crédito nas expectativas de pequenos e médios empresários brasileiros durante a crise financeira mundial

Abstract

Este trabalho toma como base a pesquisa acerca da confiança do empresário de pequenos e médios negócios no Brasil (IC-PMN) para analisar o impacto da restrição ao crédito nas expectativas das firmas durante a crise financeira que assolou o mundo durante os anos de 2008 e 2009. Os resultados indicam que 26,6% da amostra de 1200 empresas de todo o Brasil declaram que suas atividades são muito afetadas pelo acesso ao crédito. Além disso, o trabalho aponta que empresas cujas atividades são pouco afetadas pelo acesso ao crédito apresentam-se sistematicamente mais otimistas que as demais, indicando um possível impacto das restrições financeiras nas expectativas dos agentes.
