Genderindex 2015. Arbeitsmarktlage und Lebenssituation von Frauen und Männern auf regionaler Ebene in Österreich

Abstract

Die vorliegende Analyse der Arbeitsmarktlage und Lebenssituation von Frauen und Männern legt besonderes Augenmerk auf geschlechtsspezifische Unterschiede in den Zugangsmöglichkeiten und Teilhabechancen auf dem österreichischen Arbeitsmarkt. In Anlehnung an Beispiele in Deutschland, Schweden und Norwegen werden geeignete Indikatoren für Ausbildung, Arbeitsmarktsituation und Einkommen ausgewählt und in einem Gesamtindex zusammengefasst, um die Chancen von Frauen und Männern auf regionaler Ebene in konzentrierter Form darzustellen und zu vergleichen. Entsprechend dem Gender-Mainstreaming-Ansatz wird so das Ausmaß der Chancen(un)gleichheit von Frauen und Männer in Österreich unter Berücksichtigung regionaler Rahmenbedingungen deutlich. In der vorliegenden Fassung werden die Ergebnisse aus den Jahren 2006/2010 um das Erhebungsjahr 2012 ergänzt.
